(Little Rock, AR - July 10, 2000) Safe Foods Corporation of N. Little Rock, AR, announced today that Terry A. Elliott joined the company on July 1 as Chief Financial Officer. "Terry Elliott is an outstanding addition to our management team", said Carl S. Rosenbaum, Safe Foods' Chairman of the Board. "His credentials are impeccable and his experience will be a tremendous asset to Safe Foods."

Safe Foods Corporation is commercializing a new food safety product discovered by researchers at the University of Arkansas. The discovery, now known as Cecure™, has attracted the interest of food producers and processors around the world because of its effectiveness against foodborne pathogens such as E. Coli, Salmonella, and Listeria.

Previously, from 1968 to 1994, Mr. Elliott was with Ernst & Young LLP in a variety of positions including Managing Partner for the firm’s operations in Arkansas. During his tenure with Ernst & Young, he primarily worked with public companies and assisted a number of these companies with their initial (and secondary) public offerings with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

In 1994, Mr. Elliott joined TCBY Enterprises, Inc. as Executive Vice President in charge of the administrative functions of the company, including legal, accounting, personnel, data processing, corporate development, and internal audit. He also was corporate liaison for the operations of two of TCBY’s equipment subsidiaries.

In 1996, Mr. Elliott and four other private investors started Advanced Thermal Technologies, a manufacturer and distributor of desiccant dehumidification equipment. At that time, Mr. Elliott joined Advanced Thermal as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer and as a member of its Board of Directors. In 1999, Mr. Elliott also took on the responsibilities of Chief Financial Officer for Equity Broadcasting Corporation, an unrelated entity with multiple television and radio properties. Both Advanced Thermal and Equity Broadcasting are in the planning stages to become publicly reporting companies.

Mr. Elliott is an honor graduate of Texas A&M University with a degree in accounting. He is a Certified Public Accountant, licensed in the states of Texas and Arkansas. Mr. Elliott is an active member of Little Rock’s First Baptist Church where he is a Deacon and has served on a number of church committees. He was one of the leaders in the establishment of the Arkansas Baptist School System in 1980 and served as a member of its Board of Directors for nine years, including serving as President of the Board for five years. He is a past president of the Optimist Club of Greater Little Rock.
