Steuri and Elliott Elected To Safe Foods Board(Little Rock, AR - October 17, 2000) Safe Foods Corporation of N. Little Rock announced the election of Mr. John E. Steuri and Mr. Terry A. Elliott to its Board of Directors. Steuri is a former Chairman and CEO of ALLTEL Information Services, Inc. and Elliott is a former managing partner of Ernst & Young LLP. Safe Foods Corporation is commercializing a new food safety product discovered by researchers at the University of Arkansas. The discovery, now known as Cecure™, has attracted the interest of food producers and processors around the world because of its effectiveness against foodborne pathogens such as E. Coli, Salmonella, Campylobacter, and Listeria and its long history of safe human consumption in common over-the-counter oral hygiene products "John Steuri and Terry Elliott are outstanding additions to Safe Foods' Board. They represent the experience, quality, and integrity that we want to characterize this company," said Carl S. Rosenbaum, Safe Foods' Chairman. "They offer Safe Foods an incredible wealth of knowledge and skill."
Mr. Steuri is founder and chairman of Advanced Thermal Technologies, Inc., of
Little Rock. In 1996, he retired as Chairman and CEO of ALLTEL Information Services,
Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of ALLTEL Corporation. ALLTEL Corp. is one of the
largest telecommunications and information services companies in the U. S. He is a
director of both Superior Financial Corporation and Superior Federal Bank, F. S. B.,
Little Rock, and a Trustee of Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Company, Milwaukee.
Mr. Elliott joined Safe Foods Corporation on July 1 as its Chief Financial Officer.
From 1968 to 1994 he was with Ernst & Young LLP in a variety of positions
including Managing Partner for the firm’s operations in Arkansas. During his
tenure with Ernst & Young, he primarily worked with public companies and
assisted a number of these companies with their initial (and secondary) public
offerings with the Securities and Exchange Commission. He is also a founder,
director, CFO, and Executive Vice President of Advanced Thermal Technologies,
Inc. of Little Rock. |
